Update Oct 9: We’ve tweaked the order of our Spiritborn Skill Trees to make levelling easier. We’ve also added some more commentary on how to play both the Poison Centipede and Lightning Eagle builds.Hailing from the wilds of Nahantu, the Spiritborn is the new class introduced to Diablo 4 with the release of the Vessel of Hatred expansion. Wielding the primal power of either the mighty Gorilla, fearsome Jaguar, majestic Eagle or scuttling Centipede, the Spiritborn can fit into a variety of powerful archetypes. However, at this stage in the life cycle of Diablo 4’s Vessel of Hatred expansion, 2 of these archetypes seem to stand out from the rest: the explosive DPS potential of the electrifying lightning-damage Eagle and the huge damage-over-time secreted by the poisonous Centipede. The new activities and story missions in Vessel of Hatred are a lot more difficult than much of the base game, so it’s a good thing the Spiritborn is up to the task! Here’s a rundown of how to craft the best Spiritborn builds in Diablo 4, as well as all of the best Skills to choose when constructing them!To see this content please enable targeting cookies.Manage cookie settings Diablo 4 Debate: Does it NEED to be an open world MMO?Watch on YouTubeIs the Spiritborn good in Diablo 4?Diablo 4 | Best Spiritborn Builds and SkillsDiablo 4 | Spiritborn Skill TreeIs the Spiritborn good in Diablo 4?With the release of the Vessel of Hatred expansion, the Spiritborn is currently considered the best class in Diablo 4, thanks to its huge damage potential and versatility. This makes the Spiritborn the perfect class to take on both the new story campaign and new activities like slaying Realmwalkers and taking on their Seething Realms.Diablo 4 | Best Spiritborn Builds and SkillsSpiritborn Poison Centipede buildIf you’re planning on swamping the world of Sanctuary with poison, the best Spiritborn build to craft is a Centipede build focused on Touch of Death, or more specifically the upgraded version Poised Touch of Death. After a puny initial sting, Touch of Death deals a hefty dose of poison damage and makes the target explode into a swarm of insects, damaging other foes around them. What makes this truly great however, is when you apply the Poised Touch of Death upgrade. This then makes Touch of Death replace your Core Skill and consume Vigor with no Cooldown. Now with a good basic skill to start up your Vigor generation (I prefer the Gorilla attack) and other Vigor generating Skills like the easy-to-miss Vigorous Skill from the Skill Tree, you can turn Touch of Death into your main method of dealing damage. However, there are still a couple more steps you need to take to make this build truly overpowered. First, you need to unlock the Insatiable Aspect from the dungeon in The Festering Dark in the southeast of the new region of Nahantu. When equipped, this aspect causes the swarms created by Touch of Death to explode as you summon more than 3 at a time, dealing a huge amount of damage. Image credit: Activision Blizzard/VG247This is great on its own, but can be sped up even more by grabbing the Centipede Key Passive at the end of the Skill Tree, Noxious Resonance. This causes your poison damage to be applied instantly on critical hits, not just dealing more damage more quickly, but removing the need to wait 9 seconds for your Touch of Death swarms to be created. With the defensive Skill Reinforced Scourge and the exceptionally good Ravager from the Jaguar affinity also replenishing your Vigor, you can quickly start to build up an explosive engine that’s devastatingly powerful.Lightning Eagle BuildOr if you’re interested in a more immediate build with less set up, the lightning-damage Eagle build is based almost completely around the Quill Volley Skill, which is found on just the second node on the Skill Tree.Basically all you need to do is prioritise Vigor generation and damage on Eagle skills – nice and easy. The gameplan is simple: spam Quill Volley, then hammer dodge to evade around around the battlefield and regain your Vigor almost immediately using the passive Skills you’ve built up. Plus, with the Eagle Spirit Hall affinity, your dodge is turned into an incredible offensive weapon itself. However, the Lightning Eagle build has one more trick up its sleeve too: Vulnerable. It has many different ways of weakening enemies with the Vulnerable status and dealing significantly more damage to them. The Skills Acceleration, Apex and the Key Passive Vital Strikes are key to this. This build is incredibly fast with great mobility and great damage, and is probably the most fun for burning through story content.Since you need to fill out the rest of your hotbar, there are still some other great Eagle Skills – even if they don’t quite stack up to the unbelievable power of Quill Volley. It’s really easy to miss the extremely good combo of Measured Vortex and Auspicious from the third and fourth Skill Tree nodes respectively. This combo gives you a passive barrier which can total as much as 20% of your maximum health and both powers Vortex up by 300% and knocks enemies caught by it down for 3 seconds. Not only does this really conveniently focus enemies in one place to be hit by Quill Volley, but it’s amazing crowd-control and gives you vital breathing room to build up some Vigor in a pinch. Then, to fire up your Vigor generation, take the brilliant Measured Ravager, which will help with both powering your Quill Volley and getting in close to deal massive damage.Diablo 4 | Spiritborn Skill TreeFor the Spiritborn’s poison Centipede build, you can follow this Skill Tree:Rock SplitterEnhanced Rock SplitterSharp Rock SplitterStingerEnhanced StingerRampant StingerVigorousVigorous +1Vigorous + 2Balanced ExertionBalanced Exertion +1Balanced Exertion +2ScourgeEnhanced ScourgeReinforced ScourgeAntivenomTouch of DeathEnhanced Touch of DeathPoised Touch of DeathNourishmentNourishment +1Nourishment +2RavagerEnhanced RavagerMeasured RavagerRefund Rampant Stinger, Enhanced Stinger and Stinger and get Rock Splitter +1, Rock Splitter +2 and Rock Splitter +3RavenousRavenous +1Ravenous +2OppressiveOppressive +1Oppressive +2The DevourerHarmonious DevourerExalted DevourerNoxious ResonanceResolutionSustenanceIntricacyIntricacy +1Intricacy +2SoarEnhanced SoarReplenishing SoarTouch of Death +1Touch of Death +2Touch of Death +3Touch of Death +4Scourge +1Scourge +2Scourge +3Scourge +4The Devourer +1The Devourer +2The Devourer +3The Devourer +4Rock Splitter +4EnduranceEndurance +1Endurance +2Alternatively, for the lightning-damage Eagle build, you can follow this Skill Tree:ThunderspikeEnhanced ThunderspikeQuill VolleyEnhanced Quill VolleyAdvantageous Quill VolleyAccelerated ThunderspikeVortexEnhanced VortexQuill Volley +1Quill Volley +2Quill Volley +3Quill Volley +4Patient GuardAuspiciousMeasured VortexAuspicious +1Auspicious +2BrillianceAccelerationBrilliance +1Brilliance +2Acceleration +1Acceleration +2RavagerEnhanced RavagerMeasured RavagerThe SeekerHarmonious SeekerExalted SeekerCounterattackCounterattack EnhancementReinforced CounterattackFocal PointVital StrikesApexApex +1Apex +2VigorousBalanced ExertionBalanced Exertion +1Balanced Exertion +2Vigorous +1Vigorous +2DiminishmentDiminishment +1Diminishment +2Vortex +1Vortex +2Vortex +3Vortex +4The Seeker +1The Seeker +2The Seeker +3The Seeker +4Thunderspike +1Thunderspike +2Thunderspike +3Thunderspike +4BastionBastion +1With the extra Renown Skill Points, consider finishing Bastion, getting the ranks of Ravager, then working your way down to three ranks of Intricacy next to the Seeker at the bottom of the Skill Tree so you can spam Vortex after your Ultimate.

Without any kind of announcement from Square Enix, mobile game Kingdom Hearts Union X Dark Road has been delisted. The thing about Kingdom Hearts, is that if you actually play the games, overall it’s not that confusing. Square Enix has made that easier over the years with its various ports that consist of certain games in full, others compressed into cutscenes. But there’s been one game that has been stuck on mobile devices, despite being one of the most important for the future of the series: Kingdom Hearts Union X Dark Road. This one has a whole bunch of lore, and one of its main characters even shows up in Kingdom Hearts 3 – another, smaller but soon-to-be important character, Strelitzia, also made an appearance in Kingdom Hearts 4’s first and only trailer. So why, then, has Square Enix …

There’s a pretty simple explanation for this one though, as in case you forgot, the latest Ace Attorney collection from Capcom, Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, is all about Miles, so that’ll be why you’ll be able to get him as a free cosmetic in Among Us that’s dropping on September 9. It’s unclear if this is a limited time only kind of deal, so if you’re an avid Among Us and/ or Ace Attorney fan, you might want to hop …

Read moreThe highlight of the first Venom: The Last Dance trailer was the symbiote taking over a horse, which… isn’t exactly high praise. In the just-released second preview, however, things are looking more intriguing and unexpectedly high-stakes.We already knew that the third Venom movie was meant to be the ‘end of the line’ for Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and the chatty Venom symbiote unless some sort of very half-assed crossover event movie happens with Morbius, Kraven, and whatnot. The first trailer also introduced Chiwetel Ejiofor as a military-type and Juno Temple as a scientist both trying to hunt down and understand the symbiote just as a major invasion hits Earth. Now, the plot is getting a bit more complicated. To see this content please enable targeting cookies.Manage cookie settings One m…
Read moreJust in time for it to count as GTA 5’s 11th birthday present of sorts, GTA Online’s finally had anti-cheat software added to its notoriously teleporting deity-heavy PC version. How are things going so far? Well, very chill, unless you’re one of the players that have ended up locked out due to the platform you’re using, unable to hop back into Los Santos as a distraction from all of that chatter about GTA 6 potentially catching a delay or not (as of right now, the answer to that looks to be a tentative no).To see this content please enable targeting cookies.Manage cookie settings As revealed in the patch notes for this latest update to Online, the specific anti-cheat software that Rockstar’s added in is BattlEye, a name that’ll likely be familiar to folks who’ve played Destiny 2, Fortnite,…

Movie sequel has been in the works for a little while now, but it’s also still probably quite a while away until we’ll actually see anything from it. But Keegan-Michael Key, the actor who played everyone’s favourite anthropomorphic mushroom Toad, did share some tidbits in a recent interview with Men’s Journal. “One thing I can say about the second movie is that it’s a little broader in scope, and where it takes place is very intriguing lore and the Mario world,” Key said. “They’re going to find some really fantastic Easter eggs and it’s been very exciting so far.”To see this content please enable targeting cookies.Manage cookie setti…
Read moreIt’s sounding like Astro Bot is a certified hit, as the game has apparently performed better than any other 3D platformer bar Mario over the past decade. These days, if you set out to make a 3D platformer, you’re possibly in for fighting an uphill battle. While the genre dominated 3D gaming’s earlier years, interest in it dwindled over the years, even if it’s had a bit of a comeback on the indie front in more recent years. Only Nintendo can manage to put out a truly successful platformer, but it does seem like Mario is in for some amount of competition. GamesIndustry.biz’s Christopher Dring, who has access to various bits of sales data for consoles and games alike, shared on Twitter earlier this week some tidbits about where console sales are at, but also how Astro Bot is doing. To see this …
